Facebook has tweaked the News Feed yet again. This time to make it feel more personal.
Feed me
Facebook announced the news in a blog post.
"Our goal with News Feed is to show people the stories most relevant to them, so we rank stories so what’s most important to each person shows up highest in their News Feeds."
New Ranking System
Until now the News Feed was based on algorithms ranking everything from local issues to news and user surveys.
Facebook will begin using more personal information, such as relationships and content preferences, to further tailor the increasingly crowded feed.
Brand impact
Page Managers need not fret. Facebook says the tweak won't affect Pages, and some might even see a boost in referral traffic.
Facebook's advice to Page Managers is sage: keep posting relevant content to your audiences.
