Google Calendar, now on iPad

Google has finally launched an iPad version of their Calendar app.

iPhone app plus

Google Calendar App for iPad rounds out the suite, for an app that already had a version for iPhone as well as native apps for all Android devices.

It includes all the functionality iOS fans already experience through the equivalent iPhone app. Optimised for iPad, the user interface may be more akin to the Android Tablet app.

Spotlight and widgets

G Suite teams will also be able to use Calendar’s ‘Find a time’ function to schedule meetings where everyone’s available.

At launch, Google Calendar App for iPad integrates well with Spotlight, meaning it’ll let iPad users to find entries in the Calendar app using the search function on their iPad’s home screen.

Shortly after initial launch, app updates are expected to bring widget-like functionality too. This will present upcoming events via the lock screen and the Notification Centre.

Aimed at Enterprise

Google launched the iPad version of the calendar app just days after the new 9.7-inch iPad hit shelves. The value price point of the new device is expected to make it popular with enterprise – a market for which Google is always eager to be front and centre.

Whether corporate G Suit user or casual consumer, Google App fans on iOS devices will be happy Calendar is finally on iPad. Are you one of them? If so let us know how you use Google to get ahead in the Comments.
