LinkedIn has just updated its analytics in a bid to help users generate more profile views and connections.
Watch and learn
Earlier this week LinkedIn announced it was revamping the “Who's Viewed Your Profile” section with a new visual layout and actionable insights.
“Wouldn’t it be great if someone could tell you that just by adding a photo to your profile or sharing a specific article with your LinkedIn network, your LinkedIn Profile would be 11x more likely to be viewed and potentially attract more professional opportunities your way?” wrote LinkedIn's Udi Milo.
Takeaways
The “Who's Viewed Your Profile” section has long been one of the most popular on LinkedIn, and now the platform is giving you more ways to get noticed.
Now LinkedIn will offer users a range of insights including real-time personalised tips to increase visibility, which LinkedIn says takes a lot of the guesswork out of building your personal brand.
Linking in
The update comes as LinkedIn continues to expand and monetise, but lags behind rival platforms terms of engagement.
By offering something the others do no (that is, the ability to see who's viewed your profile), LinkedIn may make up some of the lost ground to Facebook and Twitter.
