With over 146 million workers in the US, LinkedIn has shared their latest insights regarding current workplace and hiring trends.
Work climate for Spring of 2018
Providing valuable insights into hiring, skills gaps, and migration trends throughout the United States, LinkedIn has released their monthly report with both National and City specific sections.
While the National section focuses on country-wide trends, City will continue to provide insight regarding local employment for 20 of US’s largest metro areas.
Hiring remains strong since a January spike, with February hiring at a 20.1% growth over 2017. Industries with the biggest year-over-year are aerospace (24.4%), engineering (19.4%), and financial services (18.8%).
New opportunities
Banks throughout New York City, Chicago, and L.A. are showing the greatest spike in hiring trading and investment skills, however the greatest growth is appearing in Kansas City, Salt Lake, Realeigh-Durham, San Antonio, and Austin.
