LinkedIn announces the ability for users to create and post videos on their profiles within mobile app.
Professional video on your phone
The new feature is being tested and currently only available to select frequent contributors, with a largescale launch coming down the road.
Previously the feature to include video had been brought to the desktop site with the eventual mobile release being a forgone conclusion.
When available, an unobtrusive recording icon can be found to the left of the familiar camera icon. Hit record, create video, and tap “Next” to generate an attachment. Post and you’re done.
The power of video
LinkedIn claims that creating video of ways to increase productivity is an excellent way to grow one’s network.
Though the ability to save videos to a photo library has been previously available, on the spot video creation will streamline the process and cut down on preparation time when a great idea hits.
Do you have any videos in your photo library? Can you see yourself using this new feature once available? Let us know in our comments below.
