LinkedIn haD a productive 2017. After being acquired by Microsoft, the social network for professionals got serious about content, and connections.
While it may never rival Instagram or Facey for excitement, there’s plenty to like at the newish-style LinkedIn.

LinkedIn was launched in 2003, and in 2016 it was snapped up by Microsoft for US$26.3 billion – making it Microsoft’s most expensive acquisition ever.
Today LinkedIn has over 500 million members in more than 200 countries and 24 languages. Indeed, 70% of LinkedIn users reside outside the US.
Two new members are added every second, however just 106 million of LinkedIn users are counted as active.

Linkers are a busy bunch, with 60% of users accessing the platform from mobile.
While LinkedIn Premium offers all sorts of bells and whistles, the take up hasn’t been amazing. Currently, 79% of LinkedIn users opt for the free version.
