Facebook has just tweaked the News Feed with a featured dubbed "See First" that could be a potential game changer for marketers.
Hide and seek
Facebook explained in a blog post that the update was designed to give users more control over their News Feed, by choosing the content from up to 30 users to appear at the top of their feed.
The "See First" list is accessed through News Feed Preferences and favourite users can be selected with a blue star.
Below "See First" posts, the regular News Feed is displayed.
Shake up
The move could dramatically alter how brands market on Facebook.
With some reports suggesting organic views appear to only 2% of followers, getting added to a "See First" list could be the key to ongoing Facebook success.
While the update is only available to US users at this stage, expect a wider roll out if "See First" hits the mark.
