Over several months Facebook has been testing a new way for Pages to use videos as cover images.
Now the test is getting broader.
Cover Girls
Cover videos are uploaded in the same way as cover images. However the videos must be at least 20 seconds long, and no longer than 90 seconds.
The videos auto-play when a user visits your Page, and continue playing on a loop. Cover videos will play without sound, although users can un-mute this if they wish.
Fancy pants
The feature was first trialled with Netflix back in April, now more Pages are sporting cover videos.
If it gets a wider roll out, which appears likely, cover videos could give brands a new way to make their Page stand out, and potentially show current events such as activations and product launches.
Have you seen other Facebook Pages with cover videos? Let us know where in the Comments.
