SMK’s app of the week: TrackMaven

Let’s face it, we all like keeping an eye on what our competitors are doing. It keeps us on our toes, plus who doesn’t like a bit of good old fashion snooping?

Now a new app is making the process of keeping up with the Joneses more streamlined.

Track that

TrackMaven is an app dedicated to helping digital marketers gain the advantage through what it terms “competitive intelligence information”.

Plainly put, TrackMaven allows you to track your competitors across a number of areas including social media, text and display ads, earned media traffic, and SEO.

For example, you can see how many retweets a competitor has gained over a day, or how many times their paid advertisement has been viewed.

Graph it

TrackMaven then filters this information into a universal feed that allows you to clearly see what events are most relevant to your current needs. Information is presented in graphs that can chart your competitors progress over time.

TrackMaven also allows users to set up alerts – for example when a competitor launches a new marketing campaign.

Finally, when you sign up every user is assigned a personal account manager (dubbed the Customer Success Maven) to help guide you through the process.
