Google Trends has rolled out a host of new features to keep users ahead of the content curve.
Now trending
Google Trends, the resource that lets users track which news and content is currently popular locally, nationally and globally, now offers email subscriptions.
Google announced the news in a blog post, explaining that users can now subscribe to any search topic, Hot Searches (which track the most popular content by country), or any U.S. monthly Top Chart.
Finger on the pulse
The update can be used in a number of ways for brands. For example, marketers could set up search alerts for their brands or relevant keywords.
Alternatively, Hot Searches will show what's currently popular in your region and potentially give content ideas for your social networks and hashtags.
