Australian social media marketing company Tiger Pistol has partnered with the National Australia Bank (NAB) to create a simple and cost-effective solution for businesses to promote themselves and to sell products through Facebook.
Click and go
Tiger Pistol, which launched earlier this year, offers SME's a DIY platform to create custom tabs and promotional campaigns on Facebook.
Tiger Pistol's platform has recently incorporated a Facebook Store, which allow merchants to sell products via their Facebook page.
NAB is now powering these purchases and promoting the service to its business customer base.
How it works
Businesses visit nab.tigerpistol.com, where they sign up, choose the layout of their online store, apply branding and upload products to be sold.
NAB business customers can login using their NAB Transact merchant ID and password, which ensures any purchases made via the Facebook Store is deposited directly into their accounts.
The Facebook Store costs $29.95 per month and takes around 30 minutes to set up.
Tiger Pistol also offers 'Social Success Packages' that manage social media strategy and activity such as posts, promotions, advertising and reporting.
F-commerce isn't a dirty word
Tiger Pistol's co-founder and CEO Stephen Hibberd says the partnership with NAB is a great way for a large business and start-up to work off each other's strengths.
“NAB wanted a new way to help their business customer base grown their brand on Facebook, and we had the platform to do it. To be able to work with a major partner such as NAB is really exciting for us and Australian brands looking to expand into Facebook commerce.”
Hibberd says the partnership is aimed at SME's.
“A lot of businesses want a presence on Facebook but don't necessarily know the best way to set this up. Our offering with NAB is designed to be intuitive and easy to use – for everyone from seasoned online marketers to business owners using Facebook for the first time.”
Facebook are currently offering a $50 advertising credit for anyone signing up to the new Tiger Pistol platform.
