Yahoo!7 has announced a deal with Nissan Australia to use its new Mobile OTP (Over the Page) ad format in an Australian-first campaign. Mobile OTP, which offers media rich content on mobile devices via overlays and animations, will be used to promote the Nissan Dualis, a compact crossover SUV.
Over the Page and beyond
When users upload a website from a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet, Yahoo!7’s Mobile OTP will run across the page, uninitiated, for a maximum of five seconds. Ads have increased landscapes for higher visual impact and can include animations. Once users view the ad they have the option of accessing a full screen expandable banner or replaying the ad.
Marketing moving mobile
With Australians now the largest owners of smartphones per capita of any country in the world, mobile advertising is increasingly being embraced by local advertisers and brands. Nissan hopes the Dualis' target audience of young inner-city couples and professionals will engage with its cutting-edge campaign.
