In a positive move for those eager for LinkedIn to improve its relevance and meet its potential, LinkedIn has released a plugin designed to make the job application process more streamlined for applicants and employers. ‘Apply with LinkedIn’ is a free service available to both job seekers and businesses.

The plugin, which is accessed by candidates via an ‘Apply with LinkedIn’ button on job advertisements, streamlines the process for applicant and employer, delivering uniform applications to employers and a swift application process to potential employees.

‘Apply with LinkedIn’ can also be customised, with the button able to be modified to reflect company branding. The plugin allows for viewing of professional connections between candidates and company employees and offers full integration with current Applicant Tracking Systems. Alternatively, applications can be sent to employers via email.

Tapping into the talent pool

LinkedIn currently has over 2 million users in Australia. ‘Apply with LinkedIn’ offers a quick and easy way for passive job seekers to apply for roles, potentially capturing high value ‘browsing’ candidates.
