LinkedIn defines Workplace Culture for 2018

Motivation is the keyword for LinkedIn’s latest bevy of work-inspired tips and insights for stronger professional environments.

Getting along at work

The cornerstone of a motivated workplace, according to LinkedIn, is that “relationships matter”. It all starts with a company’s ERGs (Employee Resource Groups).

According to LinkedIn’s own Employee Voice Survey, 91% of their staff feel favourable towards their own ERGs and happier to come to work.

Just to name a few

LinkedIn provides ERGs to help enable minorities within the workforce with groups like BIG (Black Inclusion Group) and HOLA (Hispanics of LinkedIn Alliance).

Representing the LGBT+ community is Out@In, advocating for inclusive restrooms and signage in LinkedIn’s San Francisco office. Though rather specific, it does illustrate the power of a well organised ERG.

There are several support ERGs for women in specific departments, there are groups for parents, even space for veterans.

Largely these are groups like any other you might find on a Facebook page, but local and supportive, which leads to happy work.

Did you find LinkedIn’s insights to be helpful? Do you belong to any ERGs in your own workplace? Let us know in our comments down below.
