Read on for all the juicy highlights.
Face Time
LinkedIn surveyed more than 8800 recruiting and hiring managers to identify the trends that will dominate the next 12 months.
First up, you might want to brush up on your interviewing skills.
Well over half (63%) of respondents said they’re now actively assessing candidate soft skills, and trying to determine candidate weaknesses.
But it’s not all one-sided: 42% of those surveyed revealed they’re also looking at interview bias when it comes to canvassing new talent.
Data Driven
Besides gut feelings, recruiters are increasingly turning to data when hiring.
The top three ways this data is used is to increase retention (56%), assess skills gaps (50%), and present more attractive offers (50%).
Finally, AI has arrived in hiring. Recruiters and hiring companies are turning to AI to save costs and time, while removing human bias.
Respondents also admitted AI was better at sourcing candidates, screening, and nurturing candidates.
