Yahoo Mail finally supports Gmail

It's been some time since Yahoo was the internet's email provider of choice, yet it remains a major player with a large, loyal following.

Here's a nifty update for Yahoo users: you can now access gmail from your Yahoo Mail account.

Opening up

Now users can import their Gmail contacts directly into the Yahoo Mail app.

The update has been a long time coming. Yahoo has offered the ability to swap between different email accounts for years, conspicuously omitting Gmail from its list.

While Gmail users already have the ability to access their Yahoo account, primary Yahoo Mail users will find the update welcome – especially if they manage contacts across various accounts.
