Facebook is bringing its popular Stories function of short video and photo missives to the desktop.
Oh and don’t forget, you have 24 hours
Facebook Stories allows for users to string together an assortment of photos and videos, adorning colourful texts and styles, for a 24 hour viewing window before disappearing.
Up until now, this feature has been specific to mobile devices, but now the social media giant is bringing it to PCs and laptops everywhere.
Comming soon, Stories will be able to be spotted in the top right corner of your Facebook page.
Currently in beta
The expansion to home platforms is currently being tested on only a small percentage of home web users.
A global release is planned for the not so distant future, bringing Stories to a wider user base and larger potential audiences.
In addition to Instagram and Snapchat, Facebook web and Facebook Messenger will soon be sporting Stories across all mobile and home platforms.
Were you aware Stories was not available on PC? Does this feel like a necessary step? Give us your thoughts in the comment section below.
