Snapchat has introduced two new features that brings gives users more control, and brands a new look in.
Search N Snap
Snapchat now features a search bar at the top of the app. This means you can look up friends, brands, and other users.
The second updates allows users to upload video and photos to Snapchat HQ, which may choose to publish the content globally.
Until now, Snapchat only accepted content from pre-approved events such as the Golden Globe Awards.
Growing pains
The search bar will make it easier for Snappers to connect with one another, potentially boosting Snapchat's user base and engagement levels.
It could also help brands reach more of Snapchat's lucrative, and until now elusive, millennial market.
