While everyone is talking about Facebook Live, Twitter is positioning itself as a potential star of the live streaming scene.

Twitter first live streamed highlights from the NBA finals earlier this year. And most recently live streamed Wimbeldon.
Twitter's Wimbeldon feed was set up is similar to YouTube’s live stream option, with relevant tweets placed next to the vision. Tweets were pulled from across Twitter, not just users you follow.
Users could also join the conversation across the games and sets using the #Wimbledon hashtag.
Partner accounts such as @Wimbledon and @ESPN can also be clicked through to.
Sporting chance
The stream proved a hit with users, and an indication of Twitter's larger plans.
The platform is set to live stream the Democratic and Republican national conventions, and presumably has its sights set of upcoming landmark sporting events such as the NFL finals.
