Facebook has rolled out an update to its iOS app that lets Page Admins host live video broadcasts.
Are we live?
The feature works from the Page Manager app.
To start live broadcasting, simply tap on the ‘Publish’ button, enter a description of the video, and hit the ‘Live Video’ icon.
In the moment
Over the past six months Facebook has thrown a lot of weight (and cash) behind live video streaming.
Facebook Live first debuted for select users (read celebs and big brands) last year, before recently being made available for all US users.
While similar functionality has been available on Meerkat and Periscope for some time, none can match Facebook’s reach.
