Live streams from Periscope will be coming to a Twitter feed near you – really soon.
Smooth streaming
Until now, Periscope streams appeared as links in the Twitter feed. Over the next month these live streams will play automatically in the feed.
Clicking on a stream will open full-screen mode, where you can view interactions, hearts and comments from other users.
However you'll have to log in to the Periscope app to like or comment on a clip.
Live and loud
The move comes as Twitter looks to keep more content (and users) in their eco-system, rather than constantly clicking away. The update also paves the way for a maturing of the live-streaming space in 2016.
While Periscope (and rival Meerkat) are less than a year old, Twitter's betting on live-streaming becoming more important for brands and news outlets over the next 12 months.
The update is now rolling out on Twitter's iOS app, with Android and web functionality on the way.
