Tumblr has refreshed its popular reblog feature to make it more streamlined and easier to read.
Read between the lines
Tumblr announced the update in a blog post.
"Ever see a crazy-long, indecipherable reblog chain on your dashboard? Not ideal, right?
"Starting tomorrow, reblogs will have a new look—one that showcases all comments as equals, not buried under an impossible stack of blockquote indents."
Clean slate
The new look reblogs appear on a dashboard that gives each comment equal space and waiting, similar to the way Facebook post comments currently appear.
The change is retroactive, meaning previous reblogs also appear in the updated format.
Spread the love
Tumblr reblogs are a powerful way to keep content alive on the Gen Y friendly platform.
Unlike the fickle life cycles of content on Facebook and Twitter, reblogs often keep content on Tumblr active up to 30 days after posting.
Do you use Tumblr in your social media strategy? If so let us know how in the comments.
