Contented yet?
At last count a whopping 86% of marketers use some form of content marketing, while 79% of marketers report their organisations are shifting towards branded content.
The average B2B marketer employs 12 – 14 different types of content.
Make it stick
The three most important aspects in measuring successful content are Audience Relevance (58%), Engaging and Compelling Storytelling (57%), and Triggers and Response/Action (54%).
On average 65% of content is created, 25% curated and 10% syndicated.
No image problem

In 2013 Facebook posts with photos accounted for 87% of total interactions, while the amount of video posts per person on Facebook has grown 75% year-on-year.
On Twitter posts with images attached see 18% more clicks, 89% more favourites and 150% more retweets.
Knowledge exchange
If you're in the B2B marketing space, knowledge is hard currency when it comes to content.
The top three categories B2B buyers are likely to purchase are White Papers (78%), Case Studies (73%) and Webinars (67%).
However less is more: 95% of B2B buyers say they prefer shorter form content.
