It's been a buzzword for awhile now, but how much do you know about content marketing?

Covering everything from social media and blogs to photos and video, content marketing can mean many things to many brands. It also works a treat when done right.

If you needed any further persuading, consider these latest content-laden stats.

Contented yet?

At last count a whopping 86% of marketers use some form of content marketing, while 79% of marketers report their organisations are shifting towards branded content.

The average B2B marketer employs 12 – 14 different types of content.

Make it stick

The three most important aspects in measuring successful content are Audience Relevance (58%), Engaging and Compelling Storytelling (57%), and Triggers and Response/Action (54%).

On average 65% of content is created, 25% curated and 10% syndicated.

No image problem

Don't know where to start your content marketing strategy? Try photos and video.

On Twitter posts with images attached see 18% more clicks, 89% more favourites and 150% more retweets.

Knowledge exchange

If you're in the B2B marketing space, knowledge is hard currency when it comes to content.
