YouTube is looking to get in on the music streaming industry, and it wants to do so with ads galore to encourage paid subscription.

YouTube is opting for a business model as classic as it is annoying, bombarding free users with so many ads that they’ll want to pay for music.
Lyra Cohen, YouTube’s global head of a music, has said users who listen to a great deal of music would be willing to pay not to be annoyed by ads.
According to Bloomberg.com, YouTube made over $10 billion in profit back in 2017, the majority of which produced by ad revenue.
Not their first rodeo
YouTube has already dipped a toe in music streaming, with both YouTube Music and YouTube Red working on ad-based models.
Google Play Music it is likely to be merged with YouTube Red, as the new service is rolled out globally.
Meanwhile, users can just enjoy the usual ad-heavy interruptions as YouTube continues to prepare its ambitious venture into music streaming.
