A strategic partnership between Dropbox and Salesforce is set to streamline, integrate and reimagine what it means for teams and the allies to collaborate.
Unlocking ways
Dropbox says the new partnership will ‘unlock new ways for teams to collaborate across sales, service, marketing, commerce, and more.’
We can expect that this will be fulfilled via the release of integrations, cross-platform functions and other widgets work exclusively to connect the two partner organisations.
Initial initiatives
To begin with, Salesforce and Dropbox are co-creating two new integrations.
A Quip integration for Dropbox will grant access to Dropbox files from directly with the Salesforce interface, and to open Quip files from Dropbox.
A ‘digital asset engagement’ integration will allow shareable branded folders across Dropbox, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Two-way workflows will keep things in sync regardless of whether users make changes via Dropbox or Salesforce.
Good for you?
They’ve both been announced, but exact launch dates are not yet known.
Functionally, this strategic partnership seems like it’ll help existing Salesforce customers, and promote Dropbox.
It certainly could make Dropbox the natural-choice cloud service for organisations who are already deeply in with Salesforce.
Does Google Play make it easier to manage your app, or is Apple’s App Store better? Do these factors influence which platform you target first?
