In another indication that Snapchat's reach is becoming more global, the ephemeral messaging service has released a heap of new geofilters custom made for Down Under.
Oi oi oi
50 personalised geofilters are now available, mainly based around Sydney locations including Sydney Harbour and Bondi Beach.
And Snapchat's just getting started: 100 new filters for Melbourne and Sydney are coming in the following months.
Brand win
Geofilters first launched in the UK, US, and Canada in February.
To use the filters, you must log on to the Snapchat On Demand website and use an existing template or upload your own design.
You then select the geographic area where the filter can be used, and how long it will it go live.
By adding a local touch, nearby businesses could drive more traffic for potentially less than an equivalent Facebook campaign.
