It's no secret that Facebook has long been needling its way into virtually every aspect of our mobile lives. Now that mobile reach is about to get deeper.
Like or lump it
Facebook has just launched a mobile Like button of iOS and Android developers, meaning the ubiquitous Like button can now be embedded in apps.
At the moment Like or Share buttons are shared around 10 million times on websites every day.
By extending this Like button outside its ecosystem, Facebook is not only increasing its reach, but also its capacity for vacuuming up user data.
Mobile gold mine
With more than half of Facebook users now mobile, that number looks set to increase with the roll out of the Like button.
And with it, presumably, Facebook's mobile influence and ad revenue.
