Facebook is testing a new way to rank comments on brand and subscriber Pages by giving the most popular comments more visibility.

According to a report from Mashable, Facebook is testing the new format on brand pages including those from journalist Fareed Zakaria and New York Jets player Tim Tebow.
Comments on these test sites are ranked based on the number of Likes, responses and hides. The most popular posts appear closer to the top of the comment stream, and Page administrators can reply directly to comments.
Engagement
Facebook is continually testing new ways to get fans to engage with content, and has most recently been toying with Sound Notifications and a new reply option for comments posted to Timeline.
The new comments structure could help boost engagement for Page administrators, some of whom have seen a drop off in reach since Facebook introduced Sponsored and Promoted posts earlier this year.
