Captiv8 has made it free to access to over one million potential influencers via their platform.

Captiv8’s Creator Discovery might just be the most practical free tool for connecting with content creators. If it delivers on its promise, it seems like a detailed catalogue of sweet influencer lollipops you can just pick up and lick whenever you want.

Captiv8 claim their platform gives ‘amazing and rich data about individual influencers’ to ‘drive the highest brand affinity for an audience’. Even at the free level, they’re giving away demographic and affinity data about influencer audiences—and it looks easy to use.

Ever met a marketer who feared being too well-informed or having the tech be too comprehensible?

The catch?

Kerry Perse, Head of Social for OMD, says ‘what used to be an extremely manual process, is completely data driven with more certainty than ever before’. So, I guess operational-cost-per-user is now negligible.

Captiv8 are presumably looking to scale up quickly. Co-founder Krishna Subramanian said via TechCrunch that the immediate objective was to ‘widen the funnel’ and become ‘the default market place’ for influencer marketing.

If they can achieve that, monetising from a few upsells should be easy for them.
