LinkedIn has just overhauled the look of its mobile apps in an effort to deliver users more relevant information.
Linking looking good
LinkedIn announced the news in a blog post.
“Your new profile helps you tell your story to other professionals when they’re looking for you on the go.
If you aren’t a master storyteller, we’ll let you know what’s missing and how you can add it,” wrote LinkedIn's Charles Soesanto.
Mobile marketing
LinkedIn's new-look apps are designed to help users promote themselves, and learn more about their contacts.
For example, LinkedIn now offers you tips on how to optimise your mobile profile, while offering handy tips about other users including recent projects, similar connections and common interests.
Mobile users can also view how their connections found them on LinkedIn.
On the go and grow
Close to half (43 per cent) of LinkedIn's 300 million users access the platform via mobile, and this update is aiming to engage this growing sector.
It also comes as the major networks, especially Facebook, are expanding their mobile offering at a cracking pace.
