In order to combat slow load times, Google has launched Test My Site to maximise mobiles sites and cut down on dropped traffic.
Quicken the pace
Google posted that 46% of all users find extended load times to be the single biggest frustration when browsing. Not terribly shocking.
The new diagnostic feature will include: testing your site’s mobile speed, number of lost visitors, competition comparisons, and how to maximise your site.
Preliminary tests saw recommendations such as lowering file image sizes, seeing decreases as drastic as 26 seconds down to five.
And they just want to help
Analytics is fast becoming the single largest driving force in networking and business. Other services, such as LinkedIn, have all made pushes toward a tip-centric culture. Companies want to help strategize with their users to cultivate the strongest experience possible.
Test My Site will help cut load times, and though this may not generate more traffic, it will help maintain it.
