Maintaining its position as the most polite social network, Pinterest has just rolled out three improvements – thanks to feedback from users.
Pinning is winning
The first update aims to make messaging more streamlined.
Until now, you and another user had to be following each other if you wanted to send a message, or board invite.
Now the reigns have been loosened and you can send users pins and invites without having to follow them.
Visualise this
It's now easier to share your inspiration across various social networks.
Pins, boards, and profiles can be shared via Messenger, WhatsApp, and text message.
Fine tune your feed
The "Picked for you" feature populates your feed with recommended content. While the feature is popular (600 million saves every month), it's not everyone's cup of tea.
Now Pinners can opt out of these recommendations, keeping their feed more personalised.
