Cleaning products aren’t the most glamorous products to sell, so companies such as Sabco, which have been manufacturing cleaning solutions since 1892, are often forced to come up with innovative ways of promoting their product.
Enter the Sabco Superheroes campaign.
Keeping it clean
For the past week Sabco has been running the Superhero campaign via its Facebook page. Users who like the Sabco Australia Facebook page go into the running to win a free mop and can vote for one of three Sabco Hunks, one of whom will become the Sabco Superhero.
In the lead up to the announcement, pictures of the Hunks have been posted on Sabco’s Facebook wall in various states of undress, with Sabco’s Facbook page currently sitting around 1,500 likes.
Mopping up the Facebook audience
Sabco Superheroes is running in tandem with the companys 12 Days of Christmas promotion, where users write why they need a Sabco product for Christmas and go into the running to win free products.
The interactive campaigns are an example of how an established brand is forging new levels of engagement with its customer base.
