Shopify is adding eBay to their existing avenues, allowing for users to sell their wares with an even greater reach.
Bidding on the future
With Shopify’s list of integrated channels, including Facebook, BuzzFeed, and Pinterest, eBay will allow for sellers to be even more diverse in how they expand their market.
Inventory info, such as product titles and descriptions, pricing, and specific item details, will all automatically sync with a user's Shopify account.
Orders made through eBay will be directly imported for fulfilments along with a confirmation message. Merchants of Shopify will be able to manage their streams from one centralised platform.
Testing, testing, USA
The new eBay addition hasn’t been rolled out just yet. Shopify will first be focusing on merchants selling within the US, expecting to generate as many as 169 million active shoppers.
Shopify has stated that 60% of their merchants do business through a minimum of two different channels, making the addition of eBay a lucrative move, compounded by the ease of operating through a centralised hub.
