Communication just got a little bit easier with the news that Skype Translator is getting a wider rollout.
Talk isn’t cheap
Skype explained that the service, which previous required a sign-up, is now available for anyone to road test.
“Skype’s mission is to bring people together from all over the world, and with Skype Translator we are breaking down language barriers that have historically made it challenging for friends and families to connect,” Skype wrote in a blog post.
Universal language
Skype Translator provides near real-time translation over Skype video and voice calls in English, Spanish, Italian and Mandarin.
The service is also compatible in 50 languages for Instant Message conversations.
While the service is still being tested, it hints at news ways brands might be able to reach international audiences in the not-too-distant future.
