While mobile phones, instant messaging and email have gone a long way to making the modern corporate warrior lightweight and largely paperless, some things refuse to die.
Case in point: the fax. Well, now there’s an app for that.
eFax
eFax is an tablet app that lets users (all 11 million of them) fax to their heart’s content without have to shell out for a fax machine, phone line, ink or paper.
It works like this. You create an account at eFax.com then download the app.
eFax then gives you a dedicated fax number that lets you send and receive faxes on your tablet.
To send a fax you simply take a picture of the document using your tablet’s camera, and it's good to go.
Just the fax please, ma’am
You can also add a digital signature to any of your faxes, while the app comes with the usual search and view functions.
For users with international clients and colleagues eFax might come in handy, and is available in 46 countries and 4200 cities.
While you might not have to fax every day, using eFax is a lot easier and cheaper than doing it the old fashioned way.
