Popular blogging platform WordPress.com has just launched a new service aimed at business users.

Word up

WordPress.com for Business costs US $299 annually and offers more advanced design tools and features than the regular WordPress service, including unlimited Premium themes, a free domain name and live chat support.

Storage is also unlimited for videos and audio, and content can be imported from existing sites.

Currently a Premium WordPress theme starts at US $50, and 200GB storage costs US $290 per year. 

Building brands

While many of these features are currently available under the WordPress Pro Bundle, the comprehensive support options are clearly aimed at business users.

In a press release WordPress explained the upgrade was aimed at small business owners, power bloggers and non-for-profits.
