YouTube has partnered with DreamWorks to launch YouTube Nation, a new show that highlights the most interesting online video content.
YouTube Nation
YouTube Nation is produced by DreamWorks Animation, sponsored by Verizon and hosted by Jacob Soboroff from The Huffington Post.
Shot in Ultra HD, YouTube promises the show will deliver a five minute experience that includes videos, themed playlists, channel creator highlights and fan feedback.
The show will be shown at 6pm Pacific Time (USA) on the Spotlight channel, which has over 19 million subscribers.
All in one place
YouTube has long offered recommendations, but YouTube Nation marks both the first time YouTube has delved into the daily program territory, and launched a service that focuses on quality, rather than popular content.
YouTube Nation might not only help video fans keep up to date with the latest trends, but also prompt brands to create higher quality content that might be featured on the already popular show.
YouTube Nation's most recent video, Seven Friends and 2000 Treacherous Miles, has already attracted over 100,000 views.
