Marketing platform Klear has released analytics of 149 brands using Instagram Stories, to see how brands are embracing the new medium.
Breaking down the numbers
Across eight different industries, Klear has announced that 59% of brands are using Stories to link to a shoppable page, while 23% link to other social apps, and 10% linking to blog posts.
Furthermore, 36% of the brands use Stories for product promotion, with 14% leading to influencers, and 5% redirecting users to how-tos.
McDonald’s, Mercedes, IBM, and Kayak are just a few heavy hitters unlocking the success of Instagram Stories’ marketing, according to Klear.
Instagram Stories marketing trends
The most active industries on Instagram Stories: Fitness (73%), Fashion (70%), Retail (56%), Technology (43%), Airlines (39%), Automotive (29%), Travel (24%), and Food and Drink (15%).
Stories promotions range from product promotion, to behind the scene looks, to live events, fan contests, and how-tos, just to name a few.
With the ongoing adoption of social marketing to grow brands, these big names will surely inspire others to hop on the Stories marketing trend.
