Researchers have recently announced which tri-word phrases foster the most shares, Likes, and comments on Facebook.
The perks of phrasing that works
According to 100 million article headlines posted between March 1 and May 10 this year, the breakdown tracked which three-word phrases were most popular of Facebook headlines.
At the top of the list, the most popular tri-phrasing is “Will Make You.” As in “12 Foods That Will Make You Beach Body Ready.”
Number two on the list? “This is why” with “can we guess” pulling into third.
Not all that labels is gold
In addition to the best headlines, the survey also announced the top least effect headlines in the sample range.
In first place: “control of your,” in second: “your own business,” in third: “work for you".
Though this list is not exhaustive, it does lend some insight into the more buzz-cringing familiar headlines plastering Facebook feeds. If anything, it’s a rubric of how to captivate while hinting at how to be original.
