Looking to connect with even more people on Facebook? Now there's a feature that may boost your digital buddy count.
Friendship Circle?
The Facebook app on iOS and Android now includes Discover People.
The feature displays a list of Facebook users who live in your area, are employed by your company, or are attending the same events as you.
Display People does not list people you're already friends with on Facebook.
Cold calling
The feature is a big leap forward for Facebook, something users might be reluctant to embrace.
While networks like Tinder Social have successfully used geo-locating for connecting, people tend to populate Facebook with more personal information.
There's also potential privacy issues: it's currently unclear if you can opt-out of your profile being displayed if attending an event.
Would you use Discover People? If so let us know how in the comments.
