First there were photo editing tools, then videos. LinkedIn's march towards modernity seems to know no bounds.
The latest: the GIFs are coming.
Move it
LinkedIn has teamed up with Tenor to power so users can quickly search for, and insert, GIFs into messages. Tenor, which was recently acquired by Google, powers over 12 billion GIF searches monthly.
LinkedIn reckons seven out of 10 US users enjoy using GIFs and emoticon to connect, so the update might find traction in sometimes sterile world of LinkedIn.
Look sharp
GIFs will be available globally on LinkedIn in the coming weeks. Just remember you're still in the virtual workplace, so choose your GIF with some consideration.
At least before 5pm.
