Facebook is doubling down on its promise for more meaningful interactions. Now Messenger will apparently assist you not only online, but in real life too.
Messenger about to get a whole lot more social
Falling in line with Mark Zuckerberg’s endeavour for more intimate interaction, 2018 is looking to be the year of Messenger’s great change..
It's predicted in-app video and news searches will become further integrated through the Messenger platform, similar to Facebook Spaces newer Oculus app back in 2017.
A bit of practical to go with the personal
Not only does Messenger allow families to stay in touch, but it also allows organisers to connect more efficiently, as seen with Hurricane Maria relief efforts in Puerto Rico earlier last year.
In the name of intimacy and efficiency, according to Vice President David Marcus, “Expect to see [Facebook] invest in massively simplifying and streamlining Messenger this year.”
Customer service, as a combination of human and AI representatives, will also be made available through Messenger.
The question is, do users want or need a more souped up Messenger?
