Facebook is rolling out coloured backdrops for user comments.
Comments: loud and vivid
Back in December, Facebook gave the option for coloured backgrounds and gradients for statuses when creating new posts. Now the same theme is coming to comments.
Currently in the hands of select users, comments will be made visible to anyone using Facebook, regardless of device.
The new colour induced comment scheme has yet to be rolled out through the official app, but will likely be made available to all users in the coming months.
Interesting? Yes. Necessary? Hmm.
According to Facebook “[they’re] always exploring new ways for people to connect and have conversations.”
Though this is not a feature being demanded by the community, it's another demonstration of Facebook’s attempt to innovate discussions.
We'll have to wait and see if the trend is a hit or a colourful miss.
How do you feel about coloured comments? Did you enjoy the addition of colour to posts? Give us your thoughts in our comments section below.
