Facebook at Work will launch its own collaboration app platform, in a direct move into Slack's backyard.
Talk the talk
Launched in October, Facebook at Work is the social network's enterprise product for brands.
The planned app will be baked into Facebook for Work's eco-system, allowing support all the usual suspects including CRM, email, and file sharing.
Much to Like?
Importantly, the Facebook's app platform will be customisable, meaning businesses can craft it around specific needs.
So potentially, Dropbox could be supported for file sharing, Google for email and calendars.
While the details are stilled being ironed out, Facebook's move poses a clear threat to Slack, and an invitation to its 4 million daily users.
