This comes as Facebook seriously ups its video credentials this year.
In 2015 Facebook doubled its News Feed video views from 4 billion to 8 billion, while the social network recently rolled out support for 360 video and Live streaming for US users.
While Facebook may rule many things, it’s still got a long way to go before catching up to YouTube’s 1 billion viewers.
However the clincher may be Facebook’s vast banks of data on its users – allowing them to serve up more precisely targeted video ads.
