Facebook Performance Report Q1 2017

Online Circle Digital has just launched the latest version of our ongoing Facebook Performance Reports for Q1 2017.

We have analysed over 2600 Australian Facebook brands from January 1st to March 31st 2017, to rank the largest and most-engaged Facebook Pages in the country.

The analysis was conducted by the Online Circle Digital data and insights team, with data provided by our proprietary tool, Social Pulse™.  

Which brands performed best?

According to our report, 5 Seconds of Summer had the highest number of fans overall, followed by Australia.com and Iggy Azalea.

‘Musicians and Bands’ is the biggest vertical, followed by ‘News and Magazines’ and ‘Airlines, Travel and Tourism’.

With millions of fans, Australia.com, Sydney.com and Visit Queensland, Australia are the big drivers of the ‘Airlines, Travel and Tourism’ category.

The category of ‘TV Channels and Networks’ had the largest growth of fans for Q1 2017, followed by ‘Airlines, Travel and Tourism’ and ‘News and Magazines’.

Which audiences were most engaged?

The Today Show came in at number one as the Facebook Page with the most engagement, followed by Showpo and Australia.com.

The ‘News and Magazines’ industries take the prize for high levels of average engagement, followed closely by ‘TV Shows’ and ‘Retail – Fashion’.

NEW – ‘Category Voice’

In this report we looked into the topics and keywords people and brands are utilising most in each category.

For example, in the category ‘Politics’, ‘Government’, ‘People’ and ‘Australia’ were the most frequently mentioned words, whereas ‘Nation’ and ‘Share’ were used the least.
