Instagram has just rolled out an update that makes embedded photos display bigger and better.
Get in the picture
An embedded Instagram photo is when a publisher features them on their website, or in an article. Similar to the way social plugins such as the Facebook Like button can be embedded across an array of media.
Now these embedded photos appear larger than before, with a narrower frame and a large Follow button located above the image.
Users can directly follow the Instagram account holder by clicking this button.

The move will not only be a boon for publishers seeking bigger, glossier images, it’s also a smart play for Instagram.
By facilitating easier connections and enhanced engagement across the platform, it’ll make Instagram ads that much more appealing once they widely roll out.
