Spotify might be everyone's favourite music streaming service, but the Swedish outfit is positioning itself as a marketing smash hit, thanks to a new report.

The Streaming State of Mind white paper surveyed 20,000 users in seven markets across the US, Australia, Canada, Germany, the UK, France, and Sweden.
Spotify revealed half of internet users around the globe now stream content. In the US and Sweden this figure is 60%.
Closer to home, 37% of Australian streamers have accessed TV and movie content.
Mobile first
Streamers like to do their thing on-the-go.
Spotify says 60% of streaming occurs on mobile devices, with phones the most popular platform for streaming.
Users who stream are more likely to engage with multiple kinds media than non-streamers, and 23% more likely to value access of ownership.
To date, Spotify's music playlists have unlocked US$220 million in ad revenue for brands.
